Dear Colleagues,

I write to invite you to attend an MIT staff forum to discuss the serious issues that have surfaced in the past several weeks. This is part of a community-wide conversation President Reif has convened to address the challenges posed by recent events.

The forum will take place on Monday, October 7, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the Wong Auditorium at the Tang Center (Building E51). President Reif will join us for this discussion. All staff members are invited to participate, and managers and supervisors are encouraged to support employees who would like to attend.

At this difficult time, it is important for all voices to be heard, and I encourage your participation as we move forward together as one community. I hope that you will be able to join us as we begin this necessary conversation.
